An appropriate Eurovision setting (or not)

Strange Ionian-looking Greek columns in the background for the Greek song in the Eurovision 2011 song contest in Germany.
There seems to be an emblem on the column capital but can't really make it out; something between an anthemium and two antithetic swans?

I didn't really watch it and I can't make out what it is in the video above, but I found it quite tacky and waaaaay too cliche! Unfortunately and inexplicably I can't explain what I think but I hope you get my point! It's like putting the big ben in the background when the UK performs!

They tried to set up a stage that would show the only thing Greece cannot sell :P (for the moment at least).

yes! I mean, we're in the 21st century too, we don't walk around in robes anymore!!! Like all we have is ancient greek stuff... (which is kinda true unfortunately nowadays, at least in a worldwide level...)

@Fizzonion

I totally get your point, which was my point exactly!
Too cliche, and even then a kind of curious choice, or at least one that makes you think on what "obviously Greek" is.
